India is aiming to become a $5 trillion economy and requires modern infrastructure to support this growth. The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) is an example of efficient infrastructure, with container ships turned around in 22 hours, faster than peers in other countries. JNPA's import dwell time is the best in India. The port faced challenges in the past but turned the situation around with policy facilitations and the implementation of the National Monetisation Pipeline. JNPA simplified bidding parameters and implemented a transparent process for transactions.
