The Telangana Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Cooling and Cold-Chain has been inaugurated in Hyderabad. The initiative aims to promote sustainable cooling innovation and accelerate the deployment of energy-efficient refrigeration for food and vaccine supply chains across India. It is a joint project between the Government of Telangana, the Centre for Sustainable Cooling, the University of Birmingham, the United Nations Environment Programme, and the GMR Group. The center will focus on developing solutions to improve the cold chain infrastructure for farmers and enhance the quality of goods.
