The Indian government is discussing potential partnerships with global logistics and transportation companies to provide skilled manpower to the industry, according to Ashwini Vaishnaw, India’s Minister for Railways, Communications and Electronics & Information Technology. The government has already signed a memorandum of understanding with aerospace major Airbus and plans to sign similar agreements with other companies in the field. The aim is for Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, India's first central university in transportation and logistics, to become a source of talent for various industries including aviation, railway, and maritime. Airbus plans to use the partnership to develop the talent pool required for its manufacturing facility in Vadodara.
