The Indian government is developing a framework to measure the country's logistics costs, which currently stand at around 13-14% of its GDP. The framework is being created with the aid of a technical partner and a task force has been established to determine the cost. Members include representatives from the NITI Aayog, the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, the National Council of Applied Economic Research and academic experts. The government has been focusing on creating a digital trading system to help lower these costs.
