Engie to boost decarbonization of sea transport - India Shipping News

French utility company Engie has been awarded 24 hectares of land by Haropa Port as part of the Grand Canal du Havre call for projects. Engie and its partner CMA CGM confirmed the development of the Salamandre plant in Le Havre, the world's first renewable gas production unit for sea transport. Engie also plans to launch a feasibility study for the France KerEAUzen project, a synthetic fuel production unit. These projects aim to contribute to France's energy transition and decarbonization goals. Final investment decisions are expected by 2024 and construction could start in 2024 and 2026.
