E-commerce boom drives expansion of cargo airlines out of India - Logistics Insider

The e-commerce market in India is experiencing impressive growth, as evidenced by new data on Amazon's 'Global Selling' platform. Since its launch in 2015, Amazon has gained over 125,000 Indian exporters and expects sales to reach $8bn this year. The company estimates that the Indian market will reach $20bn by 2025. The demand for Indian goods has increased in markets such as the US and UK. To meet this demand, Amazon has partnered with the all-cargo airline Quikjet for a dedicated freighter service. Air Tanzania is also preparing to launch a cargo service from Mumbai to African destinations.
