Dubai-owned ports company DP World will invest $510 million to construct a new container terminal at the Kandla port in Gujarat, India. The terminal is expected to be completed by early 2027 and will increase container traffic in India while reducing logistics costs. DP World currently operates five container terminals in India with a market share of 28% of container traffic volume. The investment aligns with India's Vision 2047 to develop infrastructure and increase port capacity.
