DP World has signed a concession agreement with the Deendayal Port Authority to develop a new mega-container terminal in Kandla, Gujarat, India. The terminal, set to be completed in 2027, will have a capacity of 2.19 million TEUs annually and will be linked to the inland regions through a network of roads, highways, railways, and Dedicated Freight Corridors. This project aligns with the Indian government's strategic initiatives and will increase DP World's capacity in India to 8.19 million TEUs.
