The Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) in India is making progress with 77.2% of the tracks already commissioned. The Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board, A.K. Lahoti, expressed his appreciation for the speed of completion and predicted that 90% of the DFC will be finished by the end of the year. Lahoti emphasized the importance of safety and asset maintenance and encouraged personal inspections by chief general managers to ensure the quality of the technology used. The DFC is crucial for achieving the Indian Railways' target of 3000 million tons of goods loading by 2030.
