The dedicated freight corridor has improved milk transport between Delhi NCR and Gujarat, reducing travel time by 37.23%. The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) has facilitated faster speeds and more efficient movement of essential goods, including milk. Milk trains now originate from New Palanpur (WDFC) and run on the WDFC before transferring to Indian Railways alignment. This development is significant for Delhi NCR, as a large portion of milk requirements is fulfilled by dairy plants in Gujarat.
