Colliers India Report: Industrial & Warehousing leasing falls 12% YoY - Construction World

Demand for industrial and warehousing space in India's top five cities remained stable in H1 2023, with a leasing activity of 11 million square feet, matching last year's figures. Delhi NCR led the demand with a 25% share, followed closely by Mumbai with 24.6%. Factors contributing to the growth include increased production capacity, government support, and automation. 3PL players dominate the demand, but other segments are expected to show steady leasing momentum. The e-commerce sector saw a notable surge of 68% YoY. The Indian industrial and warehousing sector is expanding despite global economic challenges.
