Jamaica's customs brokers are focusing on scaling up their businesses through investments in technology and staff training. Over 130 brokers and freight forwarders attended a training Master Class organized by the customs brokers and freight-forwarders Association of Jamaica (CBFFAJ) with the Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations in India (FFAI). India has been successful in utilizing technology for efficient and transparent customs clearance operations and has seen growth in its logistics sector. Jamaica can learn from India's success and implement a National Logistics Policy to build a logistics-centered economy.
