An explosion occurred at Laem Chabang Port in Thailand on 29 August when a container in the dangerous goods section caught fire. No injuries were reported, but six workers experienced breathing difficulties. The fire was caused by a container of organic peroxides, used to make polymers, which burst into flames. Firefighters brought the blaze under control in 30 minutes, and there was no impact on shipping traffic. This is the second incident involving dangerous goods at Laem Chabang Port.
