Changing attitudes about jobs and gender in India - MIT News

MIT PhD candidate, Lisa Ho, is studying the intersection of gender and labor-force participation in India. Her research has found that most available jobs are not compatible with women's domestic responsibilities. Ho is focusing on changing jobs to be better-suited to people's attitudes and is running a randomized controlled trial in West Bengal to test different flexible arrangements. She aims to understand how workplace flexibility impacts job performance and attitudes towards women's work.
