BRICS leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, have expressed their support for improving transport and logistics architecture in the region. They emphasized the importance of strengthening interconnectedness and creating sustainable transport routes. The Northern Sea Route and the International North-South Transport Corridor were highlighted as key projects to improve trade routes between major hubs and consumer markets. Russia expects the Northern Sea Route to become a global transport corridor by 2035, connecting Asia-Pacific with Europe. India also believes the Eastern Maritime Corridor (Chennai-Vladivostok Corridor) will enhance bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
