Michigan-based 3PL, Supply Chain Solutions LLC (SCS), has acquired Dallas-based G4 Logistics International to boost cross-border services and capitalize on Mexico trade. SCS CEO Les Brand explained that as more firms leave China for nearshore manufacturing operations in Mexico, SCS aims to expand its cross-border relationship with Mexico and Canada. Mexico was the top US trade partner in July, with $65.3 billion in trade. SCS is also exploring cross-border trade opportunities in Canada, Brazil, and India. In a separate development, San Antonio is considering banning overnight truck parking on nonresidential city streets due to public safety concerns.
