The USNS Salvor, a US Navy rescue and salvage ship, has arrived at Larsen & Toubro (L&T) shipyard in Kattupalli near Chennai, becoming the third ship to come to India for repairs. This comes after the signing of a five-year Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) between the US Navy and L&T. The agreement aims to make India a hub for US ship repairs in the region, strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
