E-commerce giant Amazon has deployed over 6,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in its delivery fleet in India, with plans to increase the number to 10,000 by 2025. The company has collaborated with manufacturers including Mahindra Electric, Tata Motors, TVS and Sun Mobility to drive EV adoption. Major Indian startups such as Flipkart, Zomato and Swiggy have also partnered with EV manufacturers to promote the use of EVs in their logistics. The Indian government has been encouraging EV adoption to reduce carbon emissions, and total registrations in the two-wheeler EV category have increased in recent months.
