Air India will soon add its initial A350 and B737 Max aircraft to its fleet, which were originally meant for Russian and Chinese carriers. This comes as part of an order for 470 aircraft placed earlier this year by the Tata-owned airline. Due to sanctions and local government bans, the aircraft were redirected to Air India. The deliveries are expected between September and December this year. Air India Express, the airline's low-cost subsidiary, is also ramping up pilot recruitment and training to support its growth plans.
