Air India financially leases first A350 through IFSC Gift City - BusinessLine

Air India has acquired its first Airbus A350-900 aircraft through a finance lease transaction with HSBC, making it the first scheduled carrier to acquire an aircraft from an entity registered in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City). The transaction was made possible through Air India's subsidiary, AI Fleet Services Limited (AIFS), which is registered in GIFT City's International Financial Services Centre. This milestone marks the beginning of Air India's aircraft leasing business from GIFT IFSC and supports the government's efforts to develop an aircraft leasing hub in India.
