Air India has added two new Boeing 777 aircraft to its fleet, as well as recruiting 650 new pilots since April. The new planes will allow for increased flight frequencies on routes to North America, such as San Francisco and New York, while one of the Boeing 787 aircraft that was grounded has been reintroduced. Air India is also accepting reservations for new flights to Male, Maldives. The fleet expansion and increased pilot numbers are expected to have a positive impact on the airline's operations.
