Shaji Prabhakaran, the secretary general of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), has called for restructuring of the I-League to reduce the travel and accommodation costs incurred by smaller clubs, which currently account for 80% of their budget. Prabhakaran, who has yet to start any formal discussion on the topic, suggested reducing running costs would stop clubs moving out of the system. He also criticised April's Super Cup competition, which saw low numbers of attendees and suggested that the AIFF would restructure the competition.
