Industry leaders discussed the state of global trade finance at the 4th National Summit Trade Finance for Inclusive Growth organised by ASSOCHAM, agreeing that easy access to trade finance would help grow the Indian economy. The government's aim is to achieve $2tn in exports by 2030. Shri Subhash Chandra Aggarwal, Additional DGFT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, GoI, believes a robust and easy trade finance system is needed to achieve targeted export goals. Development in digital technologies like AI and blockchain will provide leverage to reduce the cost of financing.
